Informal Speech Sound Assessment | Articulation Screener
This quick and easy to administer speech sound assessment is perfect for informal assessment and progress monitoring of your speech therapy students! Four different speech sound assessments included - a quick articulation screener including syllable shapes and s, r, and l clusters, a phonological patterns screener, a complex clusters screener, and a vowel sounds screener! The stimuli booklets are small and portable, but the pictures are large and clear with a clean layout to limit distractions! The data sheets are comprehensive, concise, and simple to use!

The digital stimuli are a separate file included in this download. To use the digital version, just pull up the digital stimuli pictures on an iPad or use over a teletherapy platform. Each sound has its own "page" and should take up the entire screen. PDF is clickable for easy navigation between the 4 different screeners! You will still score the screener on paper, though.

Includes 6 different silly and engaging picture scenes to get a speech sample! Each picture scene focuses on a different set of sounds so you can really focus in on the area you would like to assess further (e.g. early sounds, late sounds, 2 element clusters, 3 element clusters, vowels, and phonological patterns)! Or just use them to get a conversational speech sample without focusing on specific sounds.
Also included are clear, concise data sheets with space to record students' responses as well as a summary form so you can quickly see sounds in error, phonological patterns, stimulable and nonstimulable sounds! Use the summary form for progress monitoring throughout the year as well!
