Get BOTH printable and digital versions of minimal pairs cards for final consonant deletion to use with speech therapy activities! Open-ended and versatile so you can use them for a variety of activities to target the phonological process of final consonant deletion.

There are 5 pairs of words per target. Elbert, Powell and Swartzlander (1991) found that only as few as 3 to 5 minimal pairs were needed in order for children to show spontaneous generalization to other words containing the target sounds.

TARGETS INCLUDE:

  • final K

  • final Z

  • Final T

  • final N

  • final P

  • final S

Have students practice word pairs and then drag stickers to mark which words they said. Stickers can also be used a SELF-MONITORING/SELF-RATING tool!

Get over 100 trials easily! Have students say a pair of words 5x before dragging a sticker to mark off ONE box. When all the boxes have been marked, that is 25 trials for that pair. 25 trials times 5 pairs of words is 125 trials total!
