Elbert, Powell and Swartzlander (1991) found that only as few as 3 to 5 minimal pairs were needed in order for children to show spontaneous generalization to other words containing the target sounds.

Have students practice word pairs and then drag stickers to mark which words they said. Stickers can also be used a SELF-MONITORING/SELF-RATING tool!

Get over 100 trials easily! Have students say a pair of words 5x before dragging a sticker to mark off ONE box. When all the boxes have been marked, that is 25 trials for that pair. 25 trials times 5 pairs of words is 125 trials total!
